Saturday 6 July 2013 Nyngan to Broken Hill
Woke up to beautiful fine weather - very grateful for this as we have yet to get our camping act together. Only took us one and a half hours to get going by 10:30am. We have yet to adjust to the "country routine" early to bed early to rise - will we ever?
Morning tea at Cobar - best meat pie ever at the bake house, and thought of you Craig teaching in Cobar a few years ago. It certainly is miles from anywhere.

with very interesting sights
Also Ali you were right -
there is a Vinnies in every town- this is where Mel swaps her books!
We have now driven all morning through land that is flat as far as the eye can see. Apart from a few trucks we haven't seen anyone on the roads except many flocks of what appear to be wild goats grazing at the edge of the road.
Everything looks so beautiful on such a sunny day - evidently lots of
rain yesterday as pools of water beside the road. Soil getting a richer
brown/reddish colour, and the scrub is very green with lots of new shoots.
Arrived at Broken Hill to camp & looking
forward to some sightseeing tomorrow.
