Thursday 18 July 2013 – Travel Coward Springs to William
Creek
Naturally in the morning we were tempted back
to the spa so we had rather a late start to our travels. Just as we were leaving we saw our first
dingo – he just walked across the road in front of us.
More mound springs and ruins - this time of a
pastoral station.
Arrived in William Creek – population 10! Just a pub, a flight office and a camping
ground with no drinking water. Its also
the world biggest cattle station run by the Kidman family.
Dotted around are relics of rockets launched
from Woomera that had been recovered from the desert.
Organised our flight for the morning and played
some table tennis and read in the flight office out of the wind – which we hope
will drop for tomorrow.
