Mon 23 Sept 2013 – Mr Duffy very ill, & travelling to Port Headland

Many of you know that our great friend, Mr Duffy, is not at all well and close to going to be with God. His daughter, Vivien, had asked if we could help with the funeral. As we're away, we said we would write something to be read out. Rodger had the lovely idea of us writing it now, so Vivian could read it to Mr Duffy and he will then be quite certain how important he has been in our lives and how much we love him. We had to leave the Camping ground by 10.00am, so we went to the shopping centre and sat in the air conditioning while we put down our thoughts and sent them off, while were still in email contact.

We then had lunch and set off down the coast, towards Port Headland. We went about 400 Kms and then it was near dusk and a bad time for kangaroos, so we pulled in to a little clearing in the middle of nowhere and set ourselves up for the night. Luckily I'd done a dinner in our dream pot, so it was all ready to eat when we'd set up.
